Food Waste

Food Waste: Developed Vs. Developing Countries - Presentation to the Israel Innovation Institute Panel 2014

Developed countries waste food mostly at the post harvest, processing and consumption phase whilst developing countries lose food mostly in the field and at harvest and production, in many cases before reaching market.

A global commitment to reduce food waste will have a significant impact on reducing hunger and by some estimates meet the challenge of feeding the additional two billion people by 2050. In addition, it would save land, water and other agricultural inputs to create a truly sustainable environment.
