Elia Roumani, Founder & CEO

Mr. Roumani, the founder and CEO of EREM-LLC, spent his entire career as a Development Banker, Finance Director and Management Consultant in emerging markets. He pioneered the agribusiness practice at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) where he was responsible for multiple successful investments valued at more than $2.0 billion with leading agribusiness companies around the world. He executed a number of innovative transactions such as the first ADR listing on the NYSE of a Brazilian food company, cross-border investments, and restructured portfolio companies. He was the first Portfolio Manager of IFC’s Health and Education Department where he recovered a number of non-performing assets and diversified the portfolio by booking profitable investments. He spearheaded IFC’s development efforts in several industries and regions and assumed leadership roles in IFC’s corporate initiatives on sustainability, bio-diversity and food traceability.

Prior to IFC, Mr. Roumani was the Latin America Regional Director for Management Consulting at Ernst & Young, Finance Director of Brazilian subsidiaries of US mining companies and a Management Consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton International.

Mr. Roumani earned an MBA degree from Cornell University, an MA degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a BA from the University of Massachusetts. He attended Agribusiness Seminars at Harvard Business School and the World Bank Executive Development Program at Harvard Business School. He speaks English, Portuguese, Italian, French and Spanish and has working knowledge of Arabic and Hebrew.

Menachem Dinar, Ph.D

Dr. Dinar is an international agronomist and irrigation specialist with more than 40 years experience in field crops, horticulture, greenhouses, and smart water solutions for agribusiness companies and governments. He has proven successful experience in crop adaptation to diverse climatic and soil conditions and in greenhouse technology.

Dr. Dinar spent 15 years with Netafim, the world's leading provider of smart drip and micro irrigation solutions to sustainable agriculture, initially as a Manager and subsequently as the Marketing Director and Chief Agronomist of the Greenhouse Department. Prior to Netafim, Dr. Dinar held senior positions with the Ministry of Agriculture of Israel where he was Director and Chairman of the Vegetable Crops National Board.

Dr. Dinar holds Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees with Honors from The Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture and has conducted post-doctorate studies at the University of California. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.
